As Mulgumpin (Moreton Island) is a 90 minutes by ferry and then another 45 min 4WD transfer to our camping accommodation, It is not practical to host one day volunteer trips. MIPC provides single tents, stretcher with sleeping mat, and a camp kitchen with fridge to make it comfortable for volunteers.

Parking The Port of Brisbane has made available to volunteers parking at the Port Visitors Center, a 6 min drive from the MICat terminal. Parking is under cover and very secure given the monitoring by Port Security. MIPC will arrange transfer from MICat terminal to the Port of Bris (a 6 min drive). For both week-end trips MIPC will fund parking car at the terminal, to enable transfer of drivers to vehicles parked at Port parking, on the return trip. (4WD is staying on the island.)
All trips depart from 14 Howard Drive, Port of Brisbane. Parking details are included in the PDF information sheet available for download below.
Bookings Use the link to the booking sheet included in your last MIPC email or use the form below to book.
NB Important to enter on the booking sheet, if you are parking at the Port, transferring from St Lucia or being picked up.
Cost $100 for novices, $80 for following trips. MIPC arranges MICat passenger and vehicle fares and for support vehicle.
Note: MICat passenger fare is $80 return. Fortunately MIPC receives reduced fares for volunteers in recognition of the valuable works the volunteers undertake.
